About Beauté Pacifique
About Beauté in brief
Beauté Pacifique is a Danish skincare company located in scenic Hadsund. The company was founded in 1997 by Flemming K. Christensen and is still run by the family today, – now with Amalie Andersen, Fremming’s daughter, at the helm.
Everything from product development, inventory, marketing, etc. is carried out from the head office in Hadsund, where the products are also produced at our own facility – GMPack, which is located 1000m away.
One of the cornerstones of Beauté Pacifique is ultrasound scanning of the skin, which is used to document skin improvements following use of Beauté products. Beauté Pacifique has developed its own scanner to examine the condition of healthy skin and determine how its products can preserve the beneficial properties of youthful skin.
Beauté Pacifique is recommended and used by several Danish dermatologists and has demonstrated positive results in treating skin conditions such as rosacea, acne, dry skin and eczema.
Beauté Pacifique’s aim is to improve the quality of life for people through healthier skin – throughout the world
That aim is well underway, with retailers and distributors all around the world.

The story of Beauté Pacifique
Although the name Beauté Pacifique doesn’t sound particularly Danish, that’s exactly what the skincare brand is. Beauté Pacifique was established by Flemming K. Christensen in Hadsund, North Jutland in 1997, when, together with his wife Margith and their three children, he embarked on creating their own skincare brand.
–It was a huge decision when we embarked on our adventure, and it was a decision that the whole family agreed on. We knew it would be exciting – but that it would also require many long working days, so it was important that we were all on board with the idea. In this way, it also became our joint project, says Flemming.
The company has undergone significant development since the early days when the family stood in the kitchen, stirring creams and sticking labels on packages on Saturday evenings.
Find out more about this story in this 20th anniversary interview between Flemming and Cecilie Frøkjær from 2017.
Today, Beauté Pacifique is run by Amalie Andersen, Flemming’s daughter. However, this generational change doesn’t alter the company’s ambitions or future direction.
– When developing new products, the vision is always to enable still more people to achieve stronger and healthier skin, thereby improving their quality of life. We have the same goal now as we did in 1997 when Beauté Pacifique was founded – namely to help people achieve balanced skin so that they can live the life they want.
Beauté’s products are produced locally at the GMPack factory in Hadsund, a few metres from the head office. GMPack was established by Margith Adler, Flemming’s wife and Amalie’s mother. In addition to producing Beauté Pacifique products, GMPack packages, stores and distributes pharmaceutical products, natural herbal remedies and dietary supplements.
Today, GMPack is run by Kristian Kjærgaard, son of Margith and Flemming.
In 2022, Beauté Pacifique celebrated its 25th anniversary with a major event for employees, distributors, industry professionals and partners.
Today, there are more than 65 unique products on the shelves, approximately 35 employees at head office in Hadsund, in addition to production staff and employees in selected distributor countries.
In Denmark, there are around 600 retailers of Beauté Pacifique products, including retail stores, specialist clinics and beauty therapists.
The products are also sold through distributors and retailers worldwide.
Documented effects with ultrasound scanning
For many years, Flemming worked on developing electromedical equipment, primarily ultrasound scanners, for examining moles and dermatological conditions. In conjunction with this, he travelled around the world presenting the scanner and the possibility of seeing beneath the skin and its condition.
For various reasons, which Flemming talks about in the anniversary interview with Cecilie Frøkjær, Flemming eventually decided to develop his own skincare brand based on the use of ultrasound scanning to assess skin condition and document improvements made by the product.
In this way, the ultrasound scanner became the catalyst for the founding of Beauté Pacifique.
The ability to scan healthy skin and see the changes that occur in the skin; for example, with age, sun exposure, eczema or similar conditions, has made it possible to develop creams specifically formulated to improve the skin. The improvements are documented using ultrasound scanning, which provides an objective picture of the skin before and after.
In 2023, Beauté Pacifique presented its very own and newly developed ultrasound scanner “Dermavalidator”, which you can read more about in this article.
Development from concept to product
This is one of the unique features of Beauté Pacifique; the ability to document the effect of our products on the skin using our Ultrasound Scanning device “Dermavalidator”. This means that we can scan the skin before you start using our products, and then carry out a follow-up scan after a minimum of three months of use. The scan images allow us to show the condition of the skin before and after using the products, thereby demonstrating and the improvements deep down in the skin.
Development is based on the latest dermatological knowledge and in collaboration with Danish dermatologists. The collaboration may involve several dermatologists contacting us because they need a cream for a specific skin issue, whereupon our development team begins researching ingredients and how we can create a product capable of solving this problem. It may also consist of interesting developments within the medical field – new knowledge emerging among dermatologists and researchers that has the potential to be applied to the cosmetics industry. In this way, it is a unique collaboration with knowledge sharing both ways.
This video provides a brief overview of our product development.

The name Beauté Pacifique – why and what does it mean?
When Flemming began developing creams and needed to find a name for the brand, he gathered contacts from his network around the world to help him decide what to call the skincare brand from little Hadsund, in little Denmark.
There was a strong consensus that it should be a French name, as it would sound good internationally. Likewise, the first creams were based on a special ingredient that was then primarily extracted from sharks, but which Beauté identified in a plant-based form, namely Squalane oil. Squalane has a fantastic positive effect on the skin. However, Beauté’s Squalane oil never came from sharks, but rather from olive plants; but the inspiration for using the oil came from the sea which also inspired the name Beauté Pacifique – Beauty from the Sea.
Furthermore, the reference to the sea fits perfectly with Beauté Pacifique, which is located in Hadsund right by the water.
Flemming further elaborates on this in the anniversary interview.
GMP certified production
Production is GMP certified, i.e. certified to package medicinal products under strict standards and Beauté Pacifique products meet the same high requirements.
GMPack was founded in 2001, specialising in packaging medicinal products, dietary supplements and natural herbal remedies – in addition to producing and packaging Beauté Pacifique products.
GMP certification for packaging medicinal products is issued by the EMA – the European Medicines Agency. New and greater demands are constantly being placed on traceability and quality, and GMPack fully complies with these demands and regulations.
Beauté’s expertise
Vitamin A in skin care
Beauté has been known for its unique use of vitamin A from the very beginning. Vitamin A is a star ingredient for the skin, as it stabilises and increases collagen and elastin in the skin, contributes to elasticity, repairs sun damage and minimises lines and wrinkles, and strengthens the skin against external factors.
Vitamin A, if applied directly to the skin, can cause irritation and render the skin sensitive to light, but Beauté has resolved this issue with its unique, patented transport system.
The transport system is based on Squalane, which is a natural oil found in the skin, and which the skin wants more of. Therefore, it readily accepts Squalane from creams, even when combined with Vitamin A. Using research-based high-pressure technology, we can break the droplets down into thousands of smaller droplets, small enough to penetrate the skin’s surface and reach the layers of skin where the vitamin has the greatest effect.
With this technology, we can use even high amounts of Vitamin A without causing skin irritation.

If you have any doubts about the new Vitamin A regulations, we have covered the topic here.
Clinical skincare and dermatologist available
The long-standing collaboration with Danish dermatologists has led Beauté to develop a special clinical series of skin care products that target skin problems. The series is called Clinical and is sold exclusively through dermatologists, specialist clinics and Beauté itself. The clinical products are extra active and have an extra effect on, e.g., acne, sun damage and similar skin problems, where the skin needs to be strengthened from within, but at the same time cared for and regenerated.
The series reflects Beauté Pacifique’s mission to improve quality of life through healthier skin.
At the forefront of research, knowledge and documented effectiveness
With our own development department, laboratory and production facilities, and not least our close collaboration with leading Danish dermatologists, we are always up to date with the latest knowledge from the medical world and constantly kept abreast of new technologies.
This is reflected, not least, in our Chaperone series, which is an example of the anti-ageing of the future. With new knowledge from the medical industry and dermatologist Peter Bjerring, we have been able to use the active ingredient 5-ALA to locate and remove ageing and worn-out so-called Zombie cells in the skin, making room for new and fresh cells.
We have also found a way to link one peptide to another, thereby enabling larger peptides to be delivered into the skin, which was not previously possible. We call it a Chaperone peptide because of its accompanying role, which opens up completely new possibilities.
With Chaperone, we can strengthen and rejuvenate the skin at cellular level, which is a significant and exciting step forward from the method used to date, which is involves stimulating the skin’s own mechanisms, something we are also really good at.
This is not the first time we have been at the forefront of new and advanced technology. From the launch of Crème Metamorphique in 1998 to Crème Paradoxe in 2010 and Symphonique in 2022, we have explored and redefined the standards of responsible and effective skincare, and we continue to do so.
