Acne controlled Marie’s life
Marie has suffered from acne for many years and she feels restricted by the skin disorder. She was being treated before by the doctor, but it didn’t work. So she registered for the Help my Skin Project as soon as she saw the post on Facebook.
– I was really upset about my acne, and it drained away my self-confidence. So I thought, enough is enough, what have I got to lose? Maybe it really could help, says Marie.

Your skin affects your mood
The acne affected Marie’s daily life so much, and she was constantly in a bad mood:
– The only thing I think about when I meet people or have a conversation with someone is whether they are looking at my face, explains Marie. Consequently, Marie often declined invitations to various events and functions. Family birthdays, for example.
– I am probably the most boring girlfriend because of my bad mood which is a result of my skin problems.
Marie had her skin scanned, and a number of products were recommended which she took home to test. Without actually believing that it would work – but strongly hoping they would.
After just one week, Marie’s skin began to change and improve. She was totally surprised.
“It’s going so well! I am completely in love with the products. My previously uneven skin is now completely soft and smooth like a baby’s bottom. I have had not one single outbreak since!”

An entirely new woman
When we saw Marie again after three months, we met a changed woman. Marie’s acne was gone and her skin looked great, with an even skin tone. And, obviously, she was just one big smile. She told us that she used the products EVERY day and would not do without them.
– I used to spend an hour putting on makeup before just going out to the supermarket. Now it’s just off we go as I am. I’ve been really pleased to join in and I dare not stop! exclaims Marie.
Marie explains that already within the first week when she used the selected products, she felt and saw a difference in her skin. She was totally shocked about the effect and tells us, with a smile, her friends thought she was a completely new person to look at.
Marie’s self-confidence has gone from being rock-bottom because of her painful and inflamed skin to being at its very best. The scan also showed that her skin was full of activity, a somewhat different scan image than the first one when we met Marie. The best thing is that Marie no longer feels limited by her skin.
– I now wake up and feel just fine. And I don’t think about what kind of light I’m standing in. Now I’m just happy and ready for summer, says Marie happily.

Marie’s skin on the latest scanning day. The connective tissue in the skin has become tighter and stronger and the epidermis has become thicker and, consequently, more resistant. This is important, as a strong epidermis protects the underlying layers in the skin and makes sure that the skin has a healthy and even-toned appearance.
